The entire building, which can accommodate 180 pupils, is due to be completed in 2028. The construction requirements will be determined and supervised by the provincial ministry. In order to achieve this goal on schedule, the necessary work will begin as early as 2025. Despite the construction work, lessons are taking place, which requires great effort from everyone - both teachers and pupils - on a daily basis. ‘The young people fill the space with life, joy and enthusiasm. This encourages us to continue growing, and to seek the necessary help to complete the construction of the building,’ says a report from the Sol Naciente community.
For seventeen years now, the initiators have been building the school by virtue of a large-scale community effort. It is the only Waldorf school in the north-west of Córdoba that offers Waldorf education with an official secondary school qualification. The founding of a Waldorf secondary school with local and national recognition is a historic event of great significance for the entire region.
